I went to the Microsoft site and found a file called REMIDEUP.EXE after doing a search on the file I need. My CDRom won't read the disk (it also refuses to read a couple of other disks, I think I need a new CDRom), so I can't get the file from it. The information I had printed to follow says to replace the file with a copy from the Windows 95 CD. Checked out a couple of help forums and after checking several mentioned possible causes I managed to come up with this, BOOTLOG.TXT reports ESDI_506.PDR 'Init Failure'. My computer is running in DOS compatibility mode as well and the CDRom is not showing in device manager but is accessable in Explorer.
